Hanuman

Hanuman, the beloved monkey god in Hindu mythology, is carrying a mountain in one hand and a royal scepter in the other. According to legend, Hanuman flies to the Himalaya Mountains to find magical herbs to heal Lakshman who has been injured in battle. Unable to find the magical herbs, Hanuman breaks off the peak of the medicinal herb mountain and brings it back with him to revive Lakshman. Lord Hanuman is a symbol of physical strength, perseverance and devotion.

Crafted from cotton using screen print techniques, this tapestry is enhanced with glittering sequins.
